Hello and welcome.

I am Dr. Judy Heitzman, a licensed clinical social worker with clinical experience since 1989.

Since 1995, I have been in private practice, and have worked with children, people and families of all ages and stages. I have expertise in a variety of interpersonal and mental health areas, including depression, anxiety eating disorders, marital and partner issues, domestic violence, substance abuse, and grief issues. I have been a part time faculty member at the Kent School of Social work at the University of Louisville since 1997, where I taught many clinically related graduate courses.

In my doctoral work, my research focused on violence prevention and recovery, and am interested in how the restorative properties of music help in the recovery process of persons who have survived violence.

In December 2020, I closed my brick and mortar office and am now working on Telehealth only.
